I watched this movie in class and I was surprised by the health care system in the US and I was shocked by those facts because it happened in the US which is not an undeveloped country.
This video is included in the exam so I just make a note here. Too bad that the class was "too short" and didn't get a chance to finished it.The focus from the Prof: “Determine Michael Moore's argument for the US health system in this film and find a piece of evidence of his argument."
I was shocked by the facts that many US citizens are unable to get the health insurance because the policies from the insurance companies. And even some of them are fully covered, the companies still managed to get some excused to not to pay for their coverage. Therefore, some people lost their chances to fight with their illness. There are couple examples in this movie, and I was mad about those insurances comapny who gave lame excuses for not paying those coverage.
Michael Moore support Public health system, he gave a lot of examples of the benefit of the public founded health systems in Canada , French, and British. One of the example said that an US citizen managed to Canada for seeking medical help. The 22 years old US girl got a cancer but the insurance company refused to cover her medical fee because "she is too young to get this kind of cancer” Then she managed to get a fake marriage with her Canadian friend to get the public health insurance in Canada and now she is cancer-free. They joked that an American married a Canadian just for the medical insurance.
After checking the website, I found Michael Moore's health care proposal
1. Every resident of the United States must have free, universal health care for life.
2. All health insurance companies must be abolished
3. Pharmaceutical companies must be strictly regulated like public utility.

Well, I do not agree with all of his proposals. I personally think that the Public and Private health care system should be co-exist so that people who are able to pay more for the service can do so via getting the private insurance while the "poor population" can get help from the public health system. Just as the health care system in Taiwan and Ontario , Canada .

-50 million of US people do not have health insurance
- Even though some people is medical insured, they still have trouble paying the medical fees (The coverage is not enough, especially many drugs are not covered)
-The “lame health insurance policies” : some people can’t get the insurance because they are too thin, too fat or the “pre-exciting conditions” -- > if you have certain medical conditions, you can’t get the health insurances and there are long list of those conditions
-Many medical conditions were approved by the health coverage were using the “experimental” reason.
-Business VS Medical Moral : there are some doctors working in those insurance companies and their job is to “denied the client’s request for medical coverage” and they get bonus for denied the client.

-“ If you think socialize medicine isn’t good, ask a Canadian” -- > Canadian health insurance basically pay up everything -- > I think this is bias, he only shows the good side of the “Public health care”

-British: $6.67 pounds for drug, no matter what kind of drug (regular or for cancer), or how much drug you need.
- The hospital pays the patient’s transportation fee
- Reason for public health care: democracy after WWII -- > free medical care for everyone (basically British went bankrupt at that time)
-British health system: National Health System , the government pay the doctor and the better their service, they better pay they get.
-French: all public health insurance, no private health insurance.
